The “farm” has been in Hailey's family since the late 1800’s and is situated in the rolling foothills of the Ozark mountains. The property is a combination of hardwoods and sunny meadows and is divided by a steep bluff into a top and a bottom.
Hailey's grandparents retired to the land from California in the early
seventies and built a stone farmhouse at the base of the bluff. There are two barns, four ponds, two main pastures, a
fruit orchard, a creek, a dipping pool, and a tire swing. There are ten
cows and a bull named Charlie. He’s our fifth Charlie and has quite a
way with the ladies. My grandmother has seven chickens and a flock of
geese. Mostly the livestock is novelty.
The farm has been a gathering place for generations. Family and
friends have come for decades to cook, work, swim, play and laugh. The place has soul and magic.
